Until the board is up, Apotheosis has offered to allow us to continue discussions on the Yahoo group he moderates called "sanesensible." I sent him the email addresses for StatusFalse, Roman, and Sleep, and Noesis is already in the group, but I don't have Oceaxer's address. Oceaxer: if you'd like to participate, send an email to sanesensible-subscribe @ yahoogroups.com, or sign up through this link. Please check there for future updates.

Apotheosis and I have no idea what to do, but I've asked another friend to look at it and see if he knows what to do. My webhosts, who are the ones who should theoretically be fixing it, are obviously having a lot of trouble; the machinery that accepts queries and takes requests for help is unavailable. I'm considering switching to a new provider if this continues for a long time.In the meantime, here and here are pictures of neat greenhouses Noesis showed me. This is an interesting article asking whether the ancient Greeks could have created a scientific revolution, and these two websites are online comics Noesis and I like: Something Positive and Queen of Wands. (QoW takes a while to get any good; we almost put it down at first, but it's rewarding if you stick with it for more than a month.) Also (if you aren't Oceaxer) you may like PAWN for its silliness and risque humor.

Yes, obviously the board is still down, and unfortunately I haven't heard from the web providers yet. In the meantime, here are some links I found worth looking at:Scent of father checks daughter's maturity (Notice how ignorance of differences in genetic tendencies sends researchers spinning off into bizarre and unlikely speculations; as you read, bear in mind that those living in the inner city, without fathers, and with half-siblings are typically simply r-strategists - i.e. Blacks or prolific Euros, and that their children will carry these traits themselves.)
Europe Hardiness Zones (A map of lowest temperatures around Europe. I noticed that the areas with the coldest winters (in purples) also seem to be the areas where blond hair is most common, while the areas with warmest winters (red and peach) are most likely to be populated by individuals with darker hair.)
Congress Passes Americans With No Abilities Act (Truth may be stranger than fiction, but it isn't quite as funny.)

Sorry guys, the problem with the bulletin board runs much deeper than I realized; even blowing away the old database and replacing the entire board with a completely new one gave the same kinds of errors (in fact, it didn't even allow me to create a board, so right now, there's nothing loaded up at all.). I sent a help request to my service provider, and I'll have to wait until they get back to me before I'll be able to proceed.I suggest waiting until Thursday, and then checking back once a day until then. If you have any other comments or questions, you know my email address.
