The First Lutheran Children’s Center, a state-accredited preschool run by the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redlands, is soon reopening and accepting new registrations until August 1.

At the beginning of July, 50 children were registered for the year 2021-22, but the establishment can accommodate up to 90, according to a press release.

The First Lutheran Children’s Center, entering its 31st year as a church outreach ministry, offers two-day, three-day and five-day plans for toilet-trained children aged 2 years 9 months in pre – kindergarten. Each class is limited to 12 children, with a teacher and an assistant for each class.

The center currently has four teachers and four assistants with more to be added as enrollment increases, according to Melissa Burgess, director of the First Lutheran Children’s Center.

“Our hearts are with those whose lives have been disrupted by this pandemic,” Burgess said in the press release. “We can’t wait to see these children enjoy school again. “

The programs include an “early bird” session from 6.30 am to 9 am; regular preschool hours, 9 a.m. to noon; and a “lunch bouquet” offer from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
