Shine Bright Children’s Center Opens in Cumberland | New

CUMBERLAND – Shine Bright, a children’s event center, has opened in Cumberland.

Owner Bianca Rossi cut the ribbon on Friday, June 25, during a grand opening ceremony at 3753 Mendon Road.

Shine Bright, an after-school program and summer day camp, plans to offer a wide range of evening events for children ages 5 to 12, such as family dances and karaoke, crafts for kids, tutoring sessions and more.

It is located in the plaza of Cumberland Village – Rhode Island, “where Benny once was,” said manager Carol Bernier.

Bernier said there was already a lot of buzz about Shine Bright’s summer program, thanks to his flexible hours and willingness to work with different parents’ schedules.

“We’ve also done our homework on pricing, so we know we’re the most affordable in the market,” Bernier said, noting that the camp is almost full.

Throughout the summer, they will offer entertainment for children every night of the week. Events include water balloon battles, face painting and balloon tornadoes, wizards, Disney princesses, bouncy houses and more.

They will also provide space for birthdays, painting nights, dance classes, family yoga on Saturdays, cursive classes and other gatherings. During the school year, Rossi and Bernier hope to open the center for an after-school outing program.

“It’s a varied choice of things to do for families,” Bernier said, with most events ranging from $ 10 to $ 25. “After the year we’ve all had, we can’t wait to put smiles on some faces, to let the kids go out and have fun.”

Speaking at the grand opening on Friday, Rossi said his goal is to give kids “a place to shine and feel good about themselves, and that’s what we’ve accomplished here.” Hope you all enjoy it.

Bernier, who lives in Cumberland, said Rossi’s passion for children shines through in his work.

“Her smile is contagious and she will do whatever she can for the children,” she said.
